Setup Wizard

The Setup Wizard helps you configure your AI agent quickly and easily. Most businesses are up and running within minutes. Access it from Admin > Setup Wizard in your admin panel.

Overview

The wizard guides you through 7 steps to create a fully configured AI assistant:

  1. Website URL
  2. Business Type
  3. Contact & Hours
  4. Business Details
  5. Personality
  6. Suggested Actions
  7. Review & Generate

Step 1: Website URL

Enter your business website URL to get started.

  • We validate that the URL is accessible
  • Enable AI-Assisted Setup (recommended) to automatically extract business information

When AI-Assisted Setup is enabled, we:

  • Crawl your website (up to 30 pages)
  • Analyze your content structure
  • Build your initial knowledge base
  • Extract business details automatically

Step 2: Business Type

Provide your business identity:

  • Business Name - Your company name
  • Business Type - Select from:
    • Jewelry Store
    • Car Dealer
    • Restaurant
    • Housing/Rental
    • General

AI extraction suggests the best match based on your website content. The business type determines which industry-specific template is used.

Step 3: Contact & Hours

Enter your customer support information:

  • Phone Number - Your support phone line
  • Email - Support email address
  • Hours of Operation:
    • Weekdays (e.g., "9 AM - 6 PM")
    • Saturday hours
    • Sunday hours
    • Weekday Exceptions (e.g., "Friday: 9 AM - 5 PM")

AI extraction pulls this information from your website's contact page when available.

Step 4: Business Details

Describe what makes your business unique:

  • Tagline/Specialty - What you're known for
  • Inventory Description - Your products or services

This helps your AI assistant understand your business focus and answer questions accurately.

Step 5: Personality

Define your AI assistant's character:

  • Assistant Name - Give your AI a name (e.g., "Kora", "Sam", "Alex")
  • Personality/Tone - Choose conversation style:
    • Warm - Friendly and approachable
    • Professional - Polished and authoritative
    • Casual - Relaxed and conversational
  • Agent Voice - Select a voice for voice chat
  • Greeting Message:
    • Greeting Title (e.g., "Welcome!")
    • Greeting Body (e.g., "I'm here to help. What can I do for you?")

AI extraction recommends a name and personality based on your brand voice.

Step 6: Suggested Actions

Add clickable example prompts that help users start conversations:

Examples:

  • "Show me products under $500"
  • "What's your return policy?"
  • "Do you offer financing?"
  • "Tell me about your services"

Tips:

  • Add 5-10 diverse actions
  • Cover common customer questions
  • Include price-based queries for e-commerce
  • Help users discover your AI's capabilities

AI generates recommendations based on your business type and content.

Step 7: Review & Generate

Review all your settings before saving:

  • Summary of all configuration
  • Final chance to make adjustments

Click Generate & Save to:

  • Save your setup configuration
  • Generate optimized text chat prompts
  • Generate voice chat prompts
  • Update your app configuration
  • Sync voice settings

Shopify Product Sync

For Shopify tenants, a Shopify Product Sync step appears after saving. This lets you sync your store's products so your AI assistant can recommend them in chat. Click Sync Products Now to run the sync, then Continue to proceed to the integration page. Non-Shopify tenants are redirected directly.

What Gets Created

The wizard generates configurations for:

Text Chat

  • Opening statements (AI identity and role)
  • Response guidelines
  • Contact information formatting
  • Hours of operation
  • Industry-specific instructions
  • Citation formatting

Voice Chat

  • Complete voice assistant personality
  • Natural conversation style
  • Tool usage instructions

App Settings

  • Business name as title
  • Website URL
  • Greeting messages
  • Suggested actions

AI-Assisted Extraction

When enabled, AI-Assisted Setup uses a 3-phase process:

As you progress through steps, AI extracts:

  • Business name and type from your homepage
  • Contact info from your contact page
  • Product descriptions from your content

This saves time and ensures your AI knows your business from day one.

Re-running the Wizard

You can re-run the Setup Wizard anytime to update your configuration.

  • Access via Admin > Setup Wizard
  • Your knowledge base (crawled content) is preserved
  • Only prompts and configuration are regenerated
  • Changes take effect immediately

Tips for Best Results

  1. Have a complete website - More content means better AI extraction

  2. Include a contact page - Makes contact information extraction reliable

  3. Describe your products - The AI uses this to answer customer questions

  4. Choose the right business type - Templates are optimized per industry

  5. Add diverse suggested actions - Help users discover what your AI can do

After the Wizard

Once setup is complete, you can fine-tune individual settings:

  • App Config - Adjust branding and behavior
  • Text Prompts - Customize AI instructions
  • Voice Prompts - Adjust voice behavior
  • Agent Voice - Change the voice selection
  • Data Uploads - Add more content to your knowledge base
