First Impression
First Impression records a personalized demo of your AI assistant working on a website, gives you a link to share it, and shows who has viewed it. Open it from First Impression at the bottom of the left-hand menu in the web admin.
Availability: The link only appears for accounts that have been enabled for First Impression, and only in the web admin (not the Shopify embedded admin). If you don't see it, ask support to enable your account.
Generate New Demo
A demo is a short recording of the assistant answering questions on a real site. To make one:
- Install the snapshot extension (first time only). If it isn't detected, the page shows FI Snapshot Extension Required with these steps:
- Download fi-snapshot-v1.zip and unzip it
- Open
chrome://extensionsin Chrome - Turn on Developer mode (top-right)
- Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder
- Reload the page
- Enter the website address in the URL box. It is filled in from your last demo's address, or from your homepage setting.
- Click Generate. The extension captures desktop and mobile screenshots of the site, then the demo is queued.
Generate is disabled until the extension is detected and a URL is entered. After you click it the button shows Generating with a 10 minute countdown, and the list refreshes every 30 seconds. When the new demo appears you see a "New demo published!" message and Generate is available again.
Published Demos
Every demo is listed with its Slug, Status (Published or Failed), a link to open it, its Views, who created it and when. Click a row for details:
- Templates — the demo URL plus a ready-made email (subject and body) and SMS text. Use Copy Subject, Copy Body or Copy SMS to paste them into your message.
- Access — each view with IP, location, browser, device and time. Visits from your own team's addresses are marked (Team).
A Failed demo means the AI narration step failed. Its recording files are kept and linked as View uploaded files; it has no Templates tab and no views.
Add Admin
Adds a person as an admin of this workspace and creates their platform account if they don't have one. Enter First Name, Last Name and Email (Phone is optional) and click Add. For finer control over what an admin can do, use Admin Roles.
Admin Invitation Link
Creates a shareable link that lets a teammate or client claim admin access to this workspace. Set the limits, then click Generate Link:
| Field | Meaning | Default | Allowed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Expiry (days) | How long the link stays valid | 14 | 1-365 |
| Max visits | How many times the link can be opened | 7 | 1-1000 |
| Max redeems | How many people can claim admin access with it | 2 | 1-100 |
The link appears with its expiry date and a Copy Link button. Anyone who opens it enters their email and is added as an admin; a sign-in link is emailed to confirm it is them. Once the link expires or hits a limit, it stops working and you need to generate a new one.
Troubleshooting
Generate Is Greyed Out
- The extension isn't detected: follow the install steps above and reload
- The URL box is empty
- A demo was generated in the last 10 minutes: wait for the countdown or for the new demo to appear
A Demo Shows Failed
Open the row and use View uploaded files. Generate again, and contact support if it keeps failing.
