Bookings
Bookings is where you set up your hours and services, and where staff see the day and record bookings by hand. Access it from Admin > Bookings. Scheduling is switched on for each business by the platform, so you only see this section once it is on for you.
Bookings section
The section has three tabs: Day, Week and Setup.
- Day shows a column per person; Week shows a column per day, with each booking's person named. A day nobody has hours for says "Not set", and a holiday you have not answered says "Not answered", never "Closed". Staff book by hand for callers and walk-ins, move or cancel a booking, and mark it arrived, done or no-show. If a booking would double-book someone, or fall outside their hours, you are asked "Book anyway?" before it is saved.
- Needs you lists what wants your attention: holidays you have not answered, double bookings today, and what setup still needs.
- Setup is where you set everything up. Use it first.
Setup checklist
The checklist at the top of Setup lists what is still needed before scheduling is ready:
- Template: choose Appointments or Salon.
- Time zone: your browser's time zone is proposed; confirm it, or enter another. It cannot be changed while there are upcoming bookings.
- Weekly hours: your hours for each day of the week.
Hours are never guessed. If your website lists hours, they are filled in as a proposal tagged "From your website - confirm", and nothing is saved until you press Save weekly hours. A day the website does not state clearly stays "Not set" until you set it or mark it Closed.
Seasons and special days
A season gives different hours for part of the year. Choose "Every year?" to repeat it. A special day sets the hours for one date or a run of dates. The most specific wins for the whole day: a special day beats a season, and a season beats your weekly hours.
Holidays
Choose your country (and state if it has its own holidays) to list the public holidays. Each holiday is asked once, and the answer holds every year: Open, Closed or Special hours. Open means the holiday changes nothing: the date keeps its usual hours that year, from your weekly hours or a season, and a closure you set still wins. A holiday you have not answered shows "Not answered: requests only". Until you answer, that day is treated as not open: nothing is offered for it.
The year view shows every day of the next twelve months coloured by what decides it: weekly hours, a season, a special day, closed, or a holiday not answered.
Services, people and rules
- Services have a length, optional buffers before and after, an optional price, and a mode (book a time or send a request).
- People each list the services they do. A person works your business hours ("Same as business") until you give them their own week. Add time off for the days someone is away; every other day they keep their usual hours.
- Rules hold how far ahead a time can be booked, the shortest notice, the free-cancel window, and how long a held time lasts. These rules apply to bookings made by your assistant; staff booking by hand is not limited by notice or how far ahead.
