Quick Admin

A map of the admin panel — what each page is for, and which pages you'll actually use day to day.

Where it lives. At https://[your-subdomain].xinfer.ai/admin. Shopify merchants open the XInfer.AI app from inside their Shopify admin instead; the pages are the same.

Dashboard

The landing page, showing four channel tiles — Web Chat, Voice Chat, Phone Voices, SMS Text — and a Setup card tracking your progress.

Before your agent has handled its first conversation, the dashboard collapses to just the setup work: the channel tiles are hidden and a single card names your next step. Once the agent is configured, the widget is live, and conversations start arriving, the full dashboard appears on its own.

The Setup card has four steps:

2. AI AgentSetup Wizard
3. Chat WidgetChat Widget
4. Phone NumberSetup Phone

See Dashboard for detail.

Chat Widget is not in the sidebar — reach it from Setup step 3. You need it once, to install the widget on your site.

AI Knowledge Base

Four ways to teach your agent. They feed one shared search index, so the agent draws on all of them at once and it doesn't matter which one a fact came from.

PageWhat it's for
AI FAQsWrite question-and-answer pairs directly. Best for facts that must be worded exactly
AI DocumentsUpload PDFs, Word files, and text. Best for policies, specs, and manuals
Site CrawlRead your website. Best for broad coverage without manual work
ProductsImport your catalog from Shopify or a CSV/Excel file, with pricing and availability

Products are structured records rather than free text, which is what lets the agent filter by price and show product cards. See Chunks & Products.

If You Came From Shopify

Shopify-billed accounts see a slightly smaller admin, because Shopify already provides the missing parts:

  • No Advanced section. Billing, payments, and payment methods run through Shopify, and product images come from your Shopify catalog. Your logo, favicon, and hero image are still set on Config Agent.
  • Billing Plan goes through Shopify. Plan changes are approved in Shopify's own billing flow. Annual billing isn't available.
  • No embed code. The widget is switched on through the theme editor's app embed — see Chat Widget.
  • No subdomain, position, or color fields on Config Agent. Widget placement and styling live in the theme editor.

Everything else — the wizard, the knowledge base, tickets, carts, orders, phone — works identically.

  • Setup My AI — the guided path from signup to a live agent
  • Pricing — plans, limits, and overage rates
  • URL Reference — every chat, admin, and widget URL
